How to use Google’s URL builder?

With the URL-builder you can add parameters to URL's that you want to use in adjusted webbased ad-or email campaigns. An adjusted campaign is an ad campaign, where the auotagging of Adwords won't be used.

In the bottom image you can see which fields should be filled in. The fields with an asterix are mandatory:
  • Website URL
  • Campaign Source
  • Campaign Medium
  • Campaign Name



The generated URL with the URL Builder can be used as a link in the campaigns you want to activate. When visitors click on one of those links, the unique parameters will be sent to your Analytics-account, so you can identify the URL's which are the most effective in attracting vistors to your content. In Google Analytics you will find this tag under Acquisition > Campaigns > All campaigns.
