Product Information Management Systems
The sharp focus of PIM systems makes it clear that it is only one system of the many that an organization needs. However, when it comes to product information, the PIM system takes a central role between different sources of product information and the distribution channels to which the PIM exports its data. A PIM can get its information from multiple sources. These sources may include: ERP systems, Warehouse/POS systems, Procurement systems, Product Suppliers, Data suppliers or Translation agencies and photographers.
