Advantages of an exclusive affiliate program (one network)

  • Less administration time
  • One type of reporting, user journeys, etc.
  • Mostly cheaper, because exclusivity is mostly negotiated on a lower price


Disadvantages one network

  • Possible smaller reach
  • No competition between networks could result in less activity of the networks’ account manager and publisher managers (recruitment, optimization, etc.)


Advantages multiple programs (more affiliate networks)

  • Competition between networks could result in a higher activity of the networks’ account manager and publisher managers (recruitment, optimization, etc.)
  • Possible larger reach because some publishers are actively working with one network and not with the other.
