What is branding?
Branding is to link an object, experience, person or emotion to a brand. Good branding can increase the value of the product and the company itself. A company’s identity in the marketplace can easily make or break its profitability as a whole.
It is all about perception. When you successfully create and manage a desirable perception of your brand, your brand becomes more powerful and valuable. Coca-Cola, BMW and Apple are great examples. Just mention the name and almost everybody will respond with the same adjectives or emotions. Regardless of whether people “buy” to any of these, their perceptions of these brands will likely be similar. This “consumer brand knowledge” is what distinguishes one product or company from another. This is crucial to brand realization.
